New leader to take helm at St. Lucie Cultural Alliance
Maddie Williams Retires, Linda Kloorfain Named Executive Director Effective October 1
ST. LUCIE COUNTY, Fla. The St. Lucie Cultural Alliance is announcing an important leadership transition as Maddie Williams retires from the organization and Linda Kloorfain assumes the role of Executive Director effective October 1, 2026.
Williams has been an important part of the Cultural Alliance and its mission to strengthen St. Lucie County through arts, culture, creativity, and community engagement. Her leadership, commitment, and passion for the arts have helped advance the organization and build connections among artists, cultural organizations, businesses, residents, and community partners.
The St. Lucie Cultural Alliance extends its sincere appreciation to Williams for her service and wishes her the very best as she begins her next chapter.
“This is an exciting time for the St. Lucie Cultural Alliance,” said Jessica Whalen, Chair of the St. Lucie Cultural Alliance Board of Directors. “We are grateful to Maddie for her commitment to the organization and the arts community. As we look toward the future, we are excited to welcome Linda into the Executive Director role and continue building on the momentum of the Cultural Alliance.”
Kloorfain brings extensive experience in marketing, communications, photography, community outreach, event promotion, and nonprofit support. Her work throughout the Treasure Coast has focused on connecting organizations with the people they serve while using strategic marketing and storytelling to increase awareness, participation, and community support.
As Executive Director, Kloorfain will oversee the Cultural Alliance’s programs, partnerships, membership initiatives, exhibitions, events, educational opportunities, and community outreach while working with the Board of Directors to expand the organization’s impact throughout St. Lucie County.
“I am incredibly honored to have the opportunity to lead the St. Lucie Cultural Alliance,” Kloorfain said. “The arts are not simply entertainment. They bring people together, create opportunities, strengthen communities, support local businesses, and help define who we are as a community. I look forward to working with our artists, members, cultural organizations, community partners, and supporters to make the arts even more visible and accessible throughout St. Lucie County.”
Kloorfain said one of her priorities will be strengthening the Cultural Alliance’s visibility throughout the county while creating additional opportunities for artists and cultural organizations to connect with residents, businesses, visitors, and one another.
“The Cultural Alliance has an opportunity to be the connector for arts and culture in St. Lucie County,” Kloorfain said. “There is incredible talent here. Our job is to help people discover it, experience it, support it, and understand the important role arts and culture play in the economic and cultural vitality of our community.”
The leadership transition comes as the St. Lucie Cultural Alliance continues working to expand opportunities for local artists and cultural organizations while encouraging residents and visitors to explore the growing arts community throughout St. Lucie County.
