Susan Miiller
Susan Miiller’s paintings are infused with the energy of the oceans, rivers, estuaries, lagoons, mangrove swamps, wildlife, aquatic life, birds and beaches of Florida. Using exaggerated color, unusual views and fluid brush strokes, she enriched and inspires people to engage with the surrounding natural resources. Gathering inspiration from walking and wandering she is not motivated to paint only what she can see but capturing her emotional response to the subject. Her passion has always been to transcend rather than imitate offering a reprieve from the everyday view. Earning a BFA and an MFA in painting, drawing and printmaking, she has worked as a Professional Artist and University Art Professor for over 30 years and has been Fine Arts Faculty at SUNY since 1999. She is included in National Association of Professional Women and Who’s Who in America. Miiller has exhibited internationally, is included in many important public and private collections and is the recipient of many awards.
