Homeschooler AGES 12-17 Handbuilding

Mondays, 2 PM-4 PM, January 6, 13, 20 and February 3rd

Youth ages 12-17 and up are welcome to join Artist & Instructor Cathleen Sullivan for a relaxed introduction into hand-building with clay. Those with previous experience will be delighted to create new builds in this fun-filled learning environment.

Cathleen Sullivan and Treasure Coast Pottery are Step Up Certified to teach Homeschoolers. We do not accept payment through the Step Up because it takes us too long for the studio to be reimbursed. We provide you with an invoice with all the pertinent information needed for reimbursement.

All participants will create various projects from clay using hand building techniques. Each 2-hour session will be guided for any child looking to try working with clay or build upon existing skills. History and language of the art will be discussed.

Students attend 3 consecutive classes on Monday, they are off the 4th week and return February 3rd to glaze all three projects created the first 3 weeks.

All materials are included. After the last class students return in approximately 2 weeks to pick up their completed work. Students will be notified when work is ready for pick up, or you may contact the studio at any time for the status of your piece.
