Evening Cylinder Vessel—Vertical Project

Vertical Foundation to hand-building builds upon skills learned in horizontal tray class by now learning to create vertical forms/cylinders to create mugs, vases, decanters, utensil holders, vases, etc., by utilizing student-created templates. A variety of decorative techniques are covered, from carving, cutting, and appliques. Students continue learning best practices utilizing different tools, vocabulary, and how to apply it to clay, they select their choice of glaze and pick up work in 3-4 weeks.
