“In this stressful life I hope that through my landscapes and figure work to convey to the public a sense of peace and joy. Peace through the stunningly gorgeous landscapes of both Florida and of the timeless beauty of our main studio in the Adirondack region of New York State.”

Susan produces work both plein air and the studio. She is inspired by the harmonic and atmospheric color work of nineteenth century Impressionist artists Camille Corot and Pissaro and the bold brush work of John Singer Sargent and Mary Cassatt.

“Joy, I hope, is conveyed through the series “Beach Babies” which are captures of children’s endless energy and unbridled imagination as they play on the wonderful beaches on the Treasure Coast.”

She applies her experience as a draftsman and technical illustrator to achieve the desired effect in her paintings.
