Artist Statement I have always had a love for the outdoors and an acute appreciation of nature. The way nature affects my senses and spirituality, is the inspiration for my artwork. My paintings usually start with a theme derived from a photo I have taken which is then transformed into shape and bright colors. To me, art is a creation, an expression of my personal connection with nature, the colors and brush strokes express my personal feelings about the subject. Connection is my primary goal; it’s a way to share my excitement about the subject with my audience.
