Art has a special place in all our lives as it helps us understand history and opens paths for the future. Rembrandt would never have thought of throwing paint on a canvas, nor would he have been able to digitally enhance a photograph. Who would have thought cubes would become people, bits of paper would become a fine composition, or that a toilet in a new situation would be considered art? Change and challenge are about the past and about the future. Thanks to all those who walked before; they free us to try new and innovative ideas.
