Diane B. Kimes
As a life-long resident of South Florida, Diane Kimes enjoys over thirty-five years of community engagement and philanthropy. She has raised millions as a seasoned fund-raising executive and advisor in the third sector. Her expertise includes communications and grant writing and multi-dimensional fund development. She has worked for major public and private institutions, including small community organizations.
Throughout her professional career, Ms. Kimes has been an active member of the Association of Healthcare Philanthropy (AHP), the Association of Fundraising Professionals (AFP), and the Planned Giving Council, serving in a myriad of leadership capacities.
Kimes has been among a cadre of community volunteers to establish the following three not-for-profit organizations; founding board secretary of the Susan G. Komen for a Cure, Southwest Florida Affiliate, founding board member and President of The Fort Lauderdale Museum of Art’s Contemporaries and founding President of Martin County Friends of High School Lacrosse to advance the sport for girls and boys in Martin County’s three public high schools.
Ms. Kimes has been an active member of the Association of Junior Leagues International (AJLI) since 1994. She currently serves on the Town of Sewall’s Point Board of Zoning Adjustments.
Educated at Florida Atlantic University, with a BBA in Management, Kimes has served as a mentor, presenter, and Track Dean for AFP Florida’s Planet Philanthropy. She received her Certified Fund-Raising Executive (CFRE) in 1997.
