Description
My paintings are infused with the energy of the oceans, rivers, estuaries, lagoons, mangrove swamps, wildlife, aquatic life, birds and beaches of Florida. I want to instill in the viewer, an understanding and appreciation of the natural world; to enrich and inspire people in their lives to engage with the surrounding natural resources. After 30 years working in and around art, making a living as an artist and University art teacher, art consultant, curator and many other niches, I finally opened my art studio to the dedication of purely fine art. I am a trained artist, receiving a BFA and an MFA in painting, drawing and printmaking. I am inspired by people with that same passion. I hope that the viewers and collectors of my work can be touched in the same way.
Susan Miiller received an M.F.A. in drawing and painting from the University of North Texas in 1992 and a B.F.A in painting from SUNY New Paltz in 1988. Miiller has been faculty at SUNY since 1999.
