Description
Joette has been playing guitar since she was a teenager. She both a master's and a bachelor's degree in elementary education, with a concentration in music. She especially enjoys playing her own instrumental arrangements of folk songs, as well as a variety of music written for classical guitar. Joette taught Suzuki classical guitar for 26 years. She is a memer of the Guitar Foundation of America and founding president emeritus of the Treasure Coast Classical Guitar Society. She directs the Blue Sky Strings, an ensemble of guitars and ukuleles that play at local events. She also leads Savannas, a group of folk musicians who play for events at Savannas State Park.
Joette was involved in weekly music ministry for 52 years. Presently, she helps out at St. Hubert of the Forest Catholic Church in Astor, Florida.
