Exhibit Hall open Tuesday-Saturday
The Oxbow Eco-Center is a 225-acre preserve on the North Folk of the St Lucie River. We function as the Environmental Education and Community Outreach Division of St Lucie County’s Environmental Resource’s Department. Oxbow cultivates knowledge, nurtures a sense of wonder and inspires stewardship for the natural world.
A.E. Backus Museum & Gallery
The A.E. Backus Museum & Gallery, a 8,000 sq. ft. public visual arts facility, was established in 1960 to promote the arts in the community and to perpetuate the artistic and humanitarian legacy of A. E. Backus. Open five days a week from October through mid-June (summer hours by appointment) the museum features the Nation’s largest display of original paintings by Albert Ernest Backus.

The 15th Annual Earth Day Festival at the Oxbow Eco-Center takes place Saturday, April 13 from 10 a.m.- 3 p.m. Free family-friendly event. RAIN or SHINE! Be a part of this unique celebration bringing together music, food, art and fun! Take in the local flavor of the St. Lucie community with Uproot Hootenanny on the main stage, live animals, artists, food trucks and local breweries, dozens of performers throughout the day, and more than 70 exhibitors that will engage and enthrall you, no matter your age.
